The Opportunity
Due to significant growth within the firm, our Queensland office is currently looking to fill the newly created position of Human Resources Manager. We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Human Resources Manager who will bring ideas to the table and is motivated to grow and develop with the firm.
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with the HR Administrator and HR Advisor, the HR Manager will be responsible for performing the following activities to support both our Brisbane and Gold Coast offices:
- Primary responsibility for the strategic priorities and project deliverables of the HR team
- Overseeing the end-to-end recruitment process of professional and support staff including overseas applicants/staff and employee secondments
- Managing the employee life cycle from induction to termination
- Overseeing management of the ELMO Talent Management System
- Overseeing the coordination, development and implementation of staff training and learning and development opportunities, including liaising with delegates, external providers and other William Buck offices
- Responsible for the ongoing development and review of the performance review system
- Managing the salary benchmarking and remuneration review process for the firm
- Overseeing the implementation, communication, development and regular review of HR policies and procedures
- Leading the planning and implementation of firm team building, cultural activities and annual employee engagement survey
- Managing the drafting of the internal HR newsletter and other HR related communication pieces
- Managing the day-to-day activities of the HR Administrator and HR Advisor
- Overseeing office capacity, seating arrangements and WHS program
- Attending William Buck Group HR meetings (some travel required) and reporting on any updates
- Managing the implementation of William Buck Group initiatives
The Person
To be considered for this position, ideally you will have the following skills, experience and attributes:
- Degree qualification in Human Resources
- Approximately 5-7 years’ experience working in a professional/corporate services environment
- Prior experience managing a team
- Driven, with a strong desire to develop new initiatives and projects independently
- Positive attitude and a team player
- Professional and polished approach
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Previous experience with ELMO Talent Management desirable
