Job Description
About the Role:
As William Buck’s internal accountant, you will play a key part in supporting the financial operations and practice administration for all William Buck (Qld). Working closely with the firm's Managing Partner and Operations team, you’ll bring structure, reliability, and insight to the firm’s financial and operational functions
your responsibilities will include and not be limited to:
Financial Reporting
Prepare monthly financial statements for all entities within the William Buck (Qld) Group, ensuring timely review by the Managing Partner
Deliver KPI reports ahead of scheduled Partner meetings.
Accounts Receivable & Payable
Process all transactions in Xero
Reconcile revenue reports to the Practice Management Software
Process credit card payments, bank deposits, and allocate incoming payments accurately.
Reconcile accounts receivable/payable ledgers and ensure proper posting of transactions.
Manage weekly creditor payments in Xero
Additional Financial Duties
Assist in preparing cashflows and budgets.
Handle payroll tax processing, superannuation reconciliations and payments.
Ensure compliance with ATO requirements.
Practice Administration
Collate monthly KPI data for review.
Meet all practice management deadlines and complete administrative tasks in line with firm policies.
Submit timesheets daily and maintain accurate time recording.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You:
To be successful in this role you will bring.
Proven experience in financial reporting, accounts receivable/payable, and cashflow management.
Strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
Familiarity with payroll tax, superannuation, and ATO compliance requirements.
Excellent organisational skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the business.
High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Experience in practice administration or professional services (desirable but not essential).
