Job Description

The Role
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for performing the following activities to support both our Brisbane and Gold Coast offices:

  • Coordinating the end to end recruitment process for professional and support staff, including developing and maintaining relationships with recruiters and background and reference checks for applicants when required
  • Contributing to the management of the employee life cycle from induction to termination
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and developing and maintaining position descriptions for all roles
  • Assisting with the coordination, development and implementation of staff training and learning and development opportunities
  • Assisting in the development of the performance review system, competency framework, and career development pathways for all roles.
  • Coordinating and holding employee meetings, including meetings during the probation period and performance review meetings
  • Facilitating performance improvement processes where necessary
  • Proactively assisting with the development and communication of HR policy and procedures, ensuring they are up to date with relevant legislative changes
  • Maintaining the online HRIS system (ELMO)
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of a positive firm culture through strategy
  • Drafting of internal HR newsletter and other HR related communications

The Person
To be considered for this position, ideally you will have the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Degree qualification in Human Resources
  • Approximately 2-3 years’ experience working in a professional/corporate services environment
  • Driven, with a strong desire to develop new initiatives and projects independently
  • Positive attitude and a team player
  • Professional and polished approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Previous experience with ELMO Talent Management desirable
